Essential Information about Singapore Cable Car

By MRT: This is one of fastest and cheapest ways to get to the Singapore Cable Car. As you make your way from the HarborFront MRT station, you can head towards Exit B that leads towards the HarborFront Centre. Once here, you have to cross the link bridge in order to reach the Singapore Cable Car at HarbourFront Tower II. From the ground floor of this tower you can avail your tickets for the ride.

By Bus: You can use the bus service to reach the Singapore Cable Car by getting on a Line 36 bus from the Airport to One Raffles Link. You can then switch buses and get on Line 57 that will take you to Mount Faber.

By Taxi: You can take a taxi from the airport or any other part of the city directly to Mount Faber Station. Although this is the most convenient way if you wish to know how to reach cable car Singapore, it is also quite expensive when compared with the other modes of public transport.

Best Time to Visit:

The best time to visit Singapore Cable Car is during the sunsets when you can witness the scenery below covered in a warm and magical haze. Late mornings and afternoons are when the cable cars see the maximum rush and are most crowded. So if you wish to avoid the crowds, it is best to steer clear of these timings.

Timing:

Cable car timing is from 8:45 AM to 10:00 PM, every day. The last boarding time is at 09:30 PM.

• The Singapore cable car comprises two lines- Mount Faber Line and Sentosa Line. The Mount Faber line joins mainland Singapore with Sentosa Island while the Sentosa Line connects various places across the city with Sentosa Island.
• The Mount Faber and Sentosa Lines are not physically connected and the nearest intersection of these lines is at Sentosa Station (for Mount Faber Line) and Imbiah Lookout Station (for Sentosa Line). The two stations lie at a distance of about 5 minutes if you wish to walk it out.
• If you take the trip on the Mount Faber Line and you travel from Mount Faber Station all the way towards Sentosa Station, you will cross several important landmarks along the way. Your route will cover Keppel Harbour, Singapore River Cruise Terminal, Adventure Cove Waterpark and Universal Studios Singapore.
• Once you are at Sentosa Island, you can get on the Sentosa Line by going over to the Imbiah Lookout Station which is about a 5-minute walk from the Sentosa station. From the Imbiah Lookout Station, you can head over to either Merlion Station or Siloso Point Station. If you go towards Merlion station, you will cross the Skyline Luge's tracks, Skylift and the beach and if you go towards Siloso Point Station, the route will include Mount Imbiah's jungle, MegaZip Adventure Park, Fort Siloso, and Siloso Beach.

• Stay hydrated before embarking on the cable car journey as the gondolas tend to get quite stuffy and heated up.
• Try to avoid eating heavy food before the journey so that you do not feel giddy.
• Carry sweat wipes, particularly if you are here on a sunny day and leave the cable car windows slightly open for extra ventilation even though there are fans inside.
• If you are interested in photography and you are particular about the lighting then you can take your shots by opening the windows to avoid the tint or glass reflection affecting the photo
